This is exactly why we wind up with candidates that are so far right and so far left.
The primary elections cater to the fringes of both parties so that when the general election comes all the moderates have been weeded out.
Harsh? Maybe.
True for LinkedIn? Absolutely.
Here's why playing it safe kills engagement:
Bland content gets scrolled past
Strong opinions spark conversations
Controversy (done right) breeds interest
How to apply this:
Take a stand on industry issues
Share unpopular opinions (respectfully)
Challenge conventional wisdom
Remember: You're not trying to be divisive.
You're trying to be distinctly YOU.
