Social media success story

My friend Leif restores BEAUTIFUL mid century modern furniture.

The dude doesn’t fix chairs.

He creates heirlooms.

He had a great following on the gram and had a video pop that sped things up and got him some attention.

A lazy marketer would’ve basked in the success.

Not Leif.

Over the course of the next several months he personally DM’d 10,000 people, thanking them for the follow.

He responded to everyone from fans, furniture lovers, and budding restorers.

He threw gas on the fire, doubling down on content creation.

He meticulously filmed a vintage desk restoration that’s now been seen by over 100k people on YouTube.

At the exact same time, I enlisted the great Chris Koerner. 👇️

I asked for his advice around the business.

Chris’ feedback led to Leif redesigning the website to showcase the craftsmanship and the one-of-a-kind nature of these pieces.

As you can imagine, sales are way up.

His following has doubled.

His engagement is through the roof.

He’s also created an entirely new business, teaching people how to restore furniture.

Funny how the hardest working, most consistent people are always getting lucky. 🤷‍♂️
