Pew Research Center surveyed 9,680 U.S. adults.
Their findings:
Republicans' trust levels:
- 37% trust social media
- 40% trust national news
- 66% trust local news
Democrats' trust levels:
- 38% trust social media
- 78% trust national news
- 83% trust local news
Trends in trust:
- Republican trust in national news has dropped 30 points since 2016
- Their trust in social media has risen since 2021
- Democrats' views have stayed steady
